Today, on the 26th of February, the Autonomous Region of Madeira registers another 58 positive cases of covid-19, thus counting 7,144 infected by the new coronavirus in regional territory, according to the Regional Health Directorate (DGS).
These are two cases imported from France and 56 cases of local transmission, most of which are already associated with contacts of positive cases, according to the epidemiological bulletin.
A further 62 recovered cases are reported, with 5,734 covid-19 cases recovered.
Madeira now has 1,346 active cases, of which 27 are imported cases and 1,319 are locally transmitted.
To date, RAM accounts for a total of 64 deaths associated with the disease.
