SATA PLANE TRIGGERS THE AIRPORT EMERGENCY PLAN

A SATA plane, coming from Ponta Delgada (Azores), motivated this morning to activate the emergency plan of Madeira Airport.

It is recalled that nine passengers were on board, including a pregnant woman who may have felt ill after a problem with the aircraft’s pressurization system was reported.

On the runway, several ambulances, firefighters (from the Airport and Santa Cruz), as well as an EMIR team, were already waiting for the plane to arrive. SANAS and sea rescue were also activated.

After landing, all passengers were fine.
