The Association of Young Farmers of Madeira and Porto Santo (AJAMPS) welcomed this Thursday the decision of the Regional Government, in the scope of the culling of the mock pigeon outside its natural habitat.
In this way, AJAMPS understands that the regional executive is safeguarding the interests and income of farmers, carefully complying with the rules determined for that purpose.
“This measure is extremely important, since the losses caused on agricultural holdings, have been high, jeopardizing their economic viability”, says the association in a statement.
This is a subject to which the JM recently dedicated a report in which it highlighted the complaints of farmers.
