Bars of the ‘Café do Teatro’ group pressure the Government to reopen the night hours

The ‘Café do Teatro’ group published, this evening, on social media, a video defending the reopening of the bars of Madeira at night, in order to avoid the bankruptcy of companies and the dismissal of the respective workers.

The video consists of a set of statements by employees and managers of the bars in the city of Funchal, located mainly in Zona Velha and Rua das Fontes (The Outlet Bar, Venda Velha, The Irish Pub, Vintage Bar, Rei dos Shots, Mercearia da Poncha, Tasca do Bexiga, A Pregaria and Taberna Popular). There are also statements by DJ Nélio Fabrício and Celso Velosa.

It is recalled that, since the beginning of the year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Regional Government determined the closure of commercial activities (including bars) at 6 pm on weekdays and at 5 pm on weekends and holidays.

Let’s really hope it all changes soon, even the curfew should have been extended to at least 9pm from this week.
