Bathers still on beach after curfew

This spring Sunday, several people took advantage of the sun to go to the beach.

However, many forgot that the curfew is still in force, which meant that the Public Security Police had to go to some beaches, namely to Machico beach to alert bathers who cannot walk on the street after the given time.

As DIÁRIO reported, the same happened this week in Praia Formosa, where many were still on the beach and exercising after 6 pm.

  2. Tobi, over here in Prazeres it seems that few people follow the curfew laws. Digital nomads ( who are getting quite a reputation for this both here and on Porto Santo) pay little attention to it, neither do many of the locals. A couple of weeks ago we drove back home after visiting Porto Santo ( a legitimate reason to be on the road) and we saw many cars on the road but not one police patrol car. If the rules aren’t to be enforced there’s no point in having them.

      Once I saw a guy driving at 150 mph on the highway. Why are there even speed limits?

    2. Totally agree and the rest of us are locked up, at home, let’s just hope there is one more week of this, otherwise I think people will start to break more. Still less than one 7th of a percent chance to get the virus.

  3. Why are people even believing in Covid-19? I had enough of it! Where is the point is following curfew at a given time? Does the virus knows time as well? CRP tests are not accurate and were not developed for this purpose. Wonder why this winter there were no related deaths to common flu, all blamed on covid must say. Did Bill Gates vaccinated his family? Oh wait this guy has no medical background but is calling the shots. We need to revolt against the Global Currency Reset and BBB Build Back Better….

  5. What do the police do, well the GNR fined me, pull in check . 60 Euro for not having my vehicle doc with me. Later remembered I had put them in a safe place in the car when I had the time to think. . But
    too late then to change the fine.
    Its Ridicules they found all Information correct on data checks.
    No vehicle check done for safty, why????.
    Others pulled in and presumably had there documents.
    But no vehicle inspection undertaken, so any bold tires or other safety defects go undetected.
    Just a complete joke.
    PSP just as bad, they just like to watch paint dry.
    Easy money, covid enforcement too much like hard work.
    They have never policed covid restrictions and enforcement of rules, so why bang on about it now?????

  7. Thank God I live in a country, where there have never been curfews. Before and during Corona.

    1. Is that one of those countries that did not have curfews but sent all children home, closed all restaurants and bars, closed cinemas and theaters and the only place people could actually find open was a supermarket? What a wonderful country that must be.
