Never had any problems until recent years. In two of the last three years we have had to extend our stay by several days due to weather-related problems at the airport. It’s getting to the point where anxiety grows during the last week of our holidays as we check the IPMA forecast to get an idea of whether we will again need to make alternative arrangements (prefer not to leave this to the choice of the airline).

We will be giving Madeira a miss this year.
