The Porto Santo Ferry has just passed Caniço de Baixo on its way back to Funchal, has it cancelled its trip halfway through. ???

The Porto Santo Ferry Lobo Marinho returned to Funchal this morning as one of the engines failed, The ferry decided to resume its journey to Porto Santo at about 11.30am this morning. 172 passengers were on board and 45 decided not to to restart the route, mainly tourists who were on a day trip to the Island.
Running on 1 engine the journey will take 3h 30 mins instead of the usual 2h 15mins.
