Leftover vaccines used for allergy research

The excess dose in each vial with the Pfizer vaccine is being used to investigate any pathology allergic to the vaccine itself.

As each vial, after preparation, gives 6 doses and there is still ‘half dose’ left, Pedro Ramos explained that this “residual dose is now being used in a research project by the Immunoallergology service to test the response to allergies”.
