There are almost 27 thousand people who will watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks display in Funchal on board cruise ships. Five of the eight cruise ships confirmed for tonight are already in the port of Funchal.
As DIÁRIO had already reported, the ‘Arcadia’ and ‘Borealis’ are already berthed on the south pier and the ‘Spirit of Adventure’ on the north pier, next to Praça CR7. Throughout remain the ‘Mein schiff 1’ and the ‘Queen Victoria’.
Only tonight do the ‘Marella Explorer’, ‘AIDAcosma’ and ‘Mein Schiff 3’ arrive, bringing a total of 13,783 people on board, including 10,689 passengers.

On this day, APRAM has 34 employees working at the port of Funchal, in addition to 15 members of external surveillance and policing services. Tomorrow, 33 workers from the Port Administration and 12 from the surveillance and policing services will be on duty. At the Port of Porto Santo, 5 APRAM employees are on duty today and 4 will be on duty tomorrow.
