A 28-year-old man was arrested by the Judiciary Police, through the Madeira Criminal Investigation Department, due to “strong indications” of the crime of drug trafficking.
A statement said that the arrest took place as part of a police operation carried out at Madeira Airport, which allowed the seizure of a quantity of hashish likely to correspond, approximately, to 15 thousand average individual daily doses.
The detainee will be brought before the competent judicial authorities for possible application of measures deemed appropriate.
