There is a new SMS scam circulating in Madeira, which is similar to the already known ‘Hello Mom, Hello Dad’.
This time, Madeirans have received the following message: “Mom, I dropped my phone and it stopped working. I’m using a temporary number, send me a message on WhatsApp.”
This is followed by a fraudulent link, which should not be opened under any circumstances.
If you receive this message, just block the number its from straight away.
