This lovely lady yesterday celebrated her 100th birthday, it was a party day, and Gilda Fernandes was entitled to cake.
Despite her advanced age, Gilda Fernandes, married, takes care of her husband, who is 93 years old and is bedridden. She does all his domestic life and goes to the hairdresser every week. She has no children but has other family members to help. At night, she has a person who keeps her company, in case she needs either for herself or to help her husband. Gilda was rarely ill, as she says, and the last time she remembers was with dengue, about 8 years ago.
