The president of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque, is following the complex situation that is taking place in the North of the island, especially in São Vicente, caused by the bad weather that fell on this Christmas day.
The head of the Madeiran Executive has already sent to the site a reinforcement of means of Civil Protection and also the regional secretary of Infrastructures, Pedro Fino.
Miguel Albuquerque has maintained contacts with the Mayor of São Vicente, José António Garcês, providing all the support that is needed from the Regional Government.
It should be noted that the North of the island, especially Ponta Delgada, is experiencing a different Christmas day and due to bad weather.
