Miguel Freitas, president of the Ponta Delgada board, speaks in a calamity situation. He says that no road in the parish is passable, so much is the water. “If in 2010 it was the 20th of February, in Ponta Delgada we will never forget the 25th of December”.
The mayor says that they have already had to evacuate people from their homes and have all the employees on the streets to help the population. “If there is anyone who can help us, please help us,” he calls out in desperation.
