Strong wind at Madeira Airport results in ten canceled flights, between arrivals and departures

After a failed approach and more than 40 minutes ’round’ off Madeira, the TAP flight back to Funchal is scheduled to return to Lisbon at 19.10.

The strong wind, which in the last hour reached gusts of up to 86 km/h near the runway, forced the aircraft of TAP back to Lisbon.

If the probable cancellation takes place, there are now 10 flights canceled at Madeira International Airport, between arrivals and departures, including, also tonight, the inter-island regional flight that should have gone to Porto Santo and return, and also the last flight of the evening from Lisbon.
