A man in his 50s was severely stung by a Portuguese caravel this Monday morning, at 9 am, at sea at Reis Magos beach, in Caniço de Baixo.
There were five stings, on the chest and arms, with the bather having breathing difficulties and shivering.
After being rescued by the Sapadores de Santa Cruz Firefighters, the man was transported to the hospital.
