Dust will remain until at least Tuesday

Until next Tuesday, Madeira should remain ‘dark’, with dust from North Africa. The guarantee was given to DIÁRIO by Victor Prior, IPMA regional delegate in Madeira, who explained that this mist comes from North Africa, with the dust brought to the Region by the east wind.

“The values of relative humidity are quite low – 40% in Funchal, 30% in Lugar de Baixo, 20% in Quinta Grande – which corresponds to a situation in the east”, said the meteorologist, noting that the temperature should rise, tomorrow to 22°C.

Victor Prior also recalled that this is not a new phenomenon, noting that from time to time Madeira is influenced by this type of mist from North Africa.
