Madeira already represents 4 million euros per year in IKEA’s business

The IKEA Planning and Ordering Studio in Madeira is now officially open.

Helen Duphorn, Country Marketing Manager at IKEA, explained, at the opening of this new space, located in the La Vie Funchal shopping center, that IKEA had been planning to be in Madeira for many years. In fact, attentive to the needs of families in financial terms, the brand is investing around 13 million euros to reduce the price of several products. And this does not refer to promotions, but to a “continuous strategy”, without ever neglecting “quality”.

This, opened today, is the 11th for planning and orders. And expectations for the Madeiran market are high.

Bruno Ferreira, Market Manager in Madeira, talks about the Swedish chain’s investment as a way of responding to market demands. Madeira already represents 4 million euros per year in the business. “The expectations are to double the sales volume on the island. Indeed, that is our ambition, which is why this store is almost 400 square meters, which is practically three times larger than any other planning studio on the Continent”.

The regional secretary for Inclusion and Youth, Ana Sousa, is present at this inauguration ceremony of IKEA in Madeira, representing the president of the Regional Government.
