AIDAcosma makes an 18-hour stopover at the Port of Funchal

Cruise ship brings more than 7,500 people to Funchal.

The Port of Funchal is the ‘home’ chosen for the cruise ship AIDAcosma to spend this Christmas. There are more than 7,500 people on board, of which 6,267 are passengers.

Coming from Las Palmas, the ship docked at 5:15 am, departing at 11 pm. After an 18-hour stopover in Madeira, the ship returns to the Canary Islands, this time to
Santa Cruz de Tenerife, where the 7-night cruise ends, which began on December 20th in the same port, with stops in Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and now Funchal.

The passenger ship, built in 2021, has been sailing since 2022 under the Italian flag.

Measuring 337 meters in length, the liner has capacity for 2,732 passenger cabins.

AIDAcosma has been a regular visitor on recent Mondays in Madeira since its debut on November 26th. The cruise ship usually brings on board more than five thousand passengers and 1,400 crew.
