A man who, at the end of this afternoon, was run over in Caniço, more precisely on Estrada Gonçalves Zarco, in front of the Village Pub, has died.
Despite all the efforts of the rescue teams, the victim did not survive serious injuries, as confirmed by Leonardo Pereira, commander of the Firefighters Sapadores de Santa Cruz.
Six operatives were mobilized to the scene from the corporation, accompanied by an ambulance and a support vehicle, but a Rapid Intervention Medical Team (EMIR) was also present, apparently carrying out resuscitation maneuvers for the victim.
There are also some members of the Public Security Police (PSP), taking care of the incident.
