The Santa Cruz Sapadores Firefighters, in conjunction with the Municipal Civil Protection Service, carried out a risk assessment of falling palm trees next to the promenade where the Festa de Santo Amaro takes place and, due to the weather situation, decided to carry out a preventive cut of the trees that presented increased risks.
“Prevention is our greatest ally. We ask everyone to follow the guidance of local authorities, avoid risk areas and pay attention to updates. Our mission is to guarantee your safety”, they say in a note issued.
