An American passenger on the Cruise Ship Anthem of the Seas was admitted to the emergency department of the Madeira Private Hospital, after suffering a fall on board, l as the ship was heading towards the Port of Funchal.
The man, who was traveling with his wife, was transported by ambulance to HPM, where he was hospitalised. Following the fall, the passenger suffered some serious trauma to his lower limbs and was rescued by the ship’s medical team. The ship left the Port of Funchal late afternoon, and as the passenger was unable to continue his journey, the medical team decided to transfer him to a Private Hospital in Madeira. The cruise left this afternoon from the Port of Funchal towards Tenerife.
