Snow on the highest peaks in Madeira leads to the closure of forest roads

Tobi Hughes·27th March 2021
Madeira News

The snowfall recorded this morning at Pico do Areeiro and Pico Ruivo led to the closure, as a matter of precaution, of some access roads to that location.

As confirmed by the DIÁRIO the Institute of Forests and Nature Conservation, the forestry areas of Eira do Serrado / Pico do Areeiro and Pico das Pedras / Achada do Teixeira are closed.
