A car skidded off the road this morning, heading from Funchal to Santa Cruz, and crashed violently into the rails, in the Caniço area.
Initial reports indicated only material damage, but the Santa Cruz Firefighters were later called to provide assistance to a 53-year-old man who was experiencing anxiety.
