Marítimo beat Leixões 3-2 this Friday and secured first place in the Second League.
Just nine minutes in, Francisco Gomes opened the scoring for the green-and-reds, but Leixões equalized in the 18th minute through Luccas Paraizo. The Madeira team regained the lead in the 22nd minute following an own goal by Serif Nhaga.
In the second half, Guirassy extended the lead in the 50th minute, before Benjamin Kanuric sealed the final score at 3-2 in the 83rd minute.
