Lightning struck a house in Pico Alto, Santa, Porto Moniz in the early hours this morning, and caused considerable damage to the roof of the residence, AgoraMadeira has learned.
In addition to the damage to the tiles, there was damage to light bulbs that moved from the ceiling and the electric meter began to smoke.
The Volunteer Firefighters of São Vicente and Porto Moniz are currently on site – 0.40 am this Saturday – with two vehicles and six members.
The PSP was called to the scene.
