79 athletes on the Ultra Trail, 109 on the Long Trail, and 185 on the Short Trail.
A total of 79 athletes were this morning, at 6 am, at the start of the Municipal Market Square of Estreito de Câmara de Lobos for the Ultra Trail race (44 km), the queen race of the VIII edition of the Trail of Câmara de Lobos, Wolves.
At 8:30 am, the Long Trail (24 km) starting in the center of the parish of Curral das Freiras, 109 athletes started the race.
A moment ago, at 10:30 am, it was the turn of … athletes to start the Short Trail race (12 km) that started in the center of the parish of Jardim da Serra.
Organized by ACDJS (Cultural and Sports Association of Jardim da Serra) and ACRE (Cultural and Recreation Association of Estreito), the VIII edition of the Trail of Câmara de Lobos is part of the Regional Circuit ‘Trail Madeira’, a project by AARAM ( Athletics Association of the Autonomous Region of Madeira) – 2021/2022.
Of the three routes – Ultra Trail 44km 3200m D+, Long Trail 24Km 1790m D+ and Short Trail 12Km 517m D+, the longest race that runs through the five parishes of the municipality of Câmara de Lobos and also includes passages through the municipalities of São Vicente and Ribeira brave.
