A girl was reported to have suffered serious injuries following an apparent fall on Avenida do Mar, more specifically in the tetrapod area that forms the breakwater off the coast of Funchal, opposite the Madeira Electricity Company.
Several means of rescue were sent to the place – an ambulance and two rescue vehicles of Madeiran Volunteer Firefighters and also an EMIR vehicle, along with the Maritime Police.
