  1. Over the years different people have spent a small fortune in various projects all over the island. The vast majority have failed. Most have been defeated by Madeira’s sometimes violent storms, vastly underestimated.
    Also the lack of promotion by the tourism board to the world and the lack of marketing skills in general do not help.
    There are so many things that happen on this island and mostly they are not promoted at all. One finds out about many things by word of mouth, mostly by accident and often way too late to be of any use. Thank god we have a Tobi, but I know he gets exasperated by the lack of information.

  2. As a lover of and part-time resident of the real Madeira I naturally was drawn to read and learn from your blog Tobi and thank you. The latest edition of Stay Classy was anything but classy! The fantasy of limitless wealth is childish and the notion of showering it upon Madeira’s shores obnoxious. I was so pleased to see that Stay Classy got down to Seixal beach but instead of visiting Club Navale, an outstanding local beach pub run by the sweetest crew, they instead erased it and replaced it with their vision of what should be! Chutzpa! Anyone with real vision can muster even a modest budget and make dreams come true on Madeira. When we can return, hopefully soon, we hope you can visit us on the north coast, maybe with the young couple, to see just one such.

  3. Another fantastic video guys.

    Since I went to Madeira for the first time in 2016, I have dreamt about moving to the island. The absolute shambles of Brexit and the current pandemic which the UK haven’t dealt with very well has made me even more determined to move.

    I have become so obsessed with Madeira that I look at this blog, watch videos and think about Madeira every single day.

    Hopefully I will be back in Madeira in summer 2021 if the UK doesn’t leave the EU with a no-deal which unfortunately is starting to become doubtful.
