  1. How can one make arrangements for Covid 19 testing on FNC arrival in late June? What will be the cost?

  3. Testing is nothing to do with Covid control, its all about deterring travel to Madeira. I live in Madeira but have been on the mainland for nearly 3 months avoiding the majority of the ridiculous restrictions on personal liberty. I decided to fly back on 1 July to take advantage of the testing on arrival – and TAP contacted me today to advise that the flight is cancelled. They seem to be very much reducing the number of flights between Lisbon and Madeira, reflecting just how few people actually want to visit Madeira. It is I am afraid a total disaster for the tourism industry of the island.

  5. I saw another comment earlier this week mentioning that it will be the passengers cost prior to July 1st. I inquired to a lab in Lisbon. They are charging €150 pp if you do not have a doctor’s note for the test. Timing the test in Lisbon is challenging, as results can take 72 hours.

  6. Copenhagen Airport Medical Clinic, Airport Doctor , now offers that all travelers can have a Covid-19 or antibody test at the airport before departure. At the same time, documents on test results are also issued to travelers who need to show it when entering certain countries.

    Several countries have introduced a requirement that travelers must be able to present a certificate that they are not infected with Corona virus if they are to be allowed to travel inland. Among other things. this is required in Austria, where Vienna Airport offers tests on arrival. If you can’t show a negative test, then you have to go here for 14 days quarantine after arrival.

    At Airport Doctor at Copenhagen Airport, tests are now being offered for antibodies, where you get answers within approx. 20 min.

    According to a press release from the clinic, it only costs DKK 249 to get such a test done. Airport Doctor CPH is open 24 hours a day. The clinic is located in Terminal 2 on the first floor – above check-in desk 102.

    That is way cheaper, than what I see a lot of tourist destination airport charge their guests.

  8. Timing is impossible! Negative test within 72 hours of travelling…. um, so what if you fly on a Monday? When do you get the test done? Given that a doctors surgery probably contains more positive cases than any other place, you are more likely to contract the virus on the way out of the doctors after having the test! And whats the point anyway? Given those two Camara do Lobos dudes were tested negative after quarantine and then proceeded to pass it on to all their mates. Its merely revenue raising plus a deterrent to travel.

    1. “Those two of Camara de Lobos” were not tested at arrival. When they arrived in the island on the 18th or 19th March, quarantine at the hotel was not compulsory nor they had to do a test. “Those two of Camara de Lobos” are actually the proof that quarantining at the hotel has worked. After that other 8 people were found positive when quarantining in the hotel, 8 potential new transmission focus which were prevented.

      You will have the option to get yourself tested at the origin, tested at arrival or quarantine in the hotel for 14 days. If you don´t want to follow any of those 3 options and you don´t give a damn on whether you will be infecting other than that is the proof that the island must be very careful filtering its visitors.

  10. I am shocked to realize how many people only think about their precious vacacion and not about their own but also the health and safety from others. All they worry about is “can I go on vacacion?”, it’s disgusting.

    Does one realize if one’s tested today and doesn’t show symptoms, one can still carry the virus and start showing symptoms some days later when one’s on it’s precious holiday and spread the birus to others?

    Does one realize that a large outbrake on Madeira would be a huge problem because the poor healthcare and limited hospitalization space?

    Yes it’s important to get economy up and running again but to any cost?
    Anyway thingsvare not back to normal and will not be for a long time.
    The comming months people will start spreading the virus again but, so what, who cares, one needs to go on the precious vacacion otherwise life is worthless isn’t it? Better sick than safe right?
