Funchal this afternoon surpassed the record maximum temperature this year and the third highest in May since there are records (1940s of the last century) when it reached, in the last hour, 32.5ºC (recorded by the Observatory), thus confirming the orange warning in force for the south coast of Madeira.
Santa Cruz and Quinta Grande have also recorded temperatures this Monday very close to 30 degrees.
Significant was also the maximum temperature in Santana (26.2ºC) and in Lombo da Tuesday, in Achadas da Cruz (25.2ºC), in both cases consistent with the yellow warnings for the north coast and highlands of Madeira.
