The Machico Parish Council organizes on June 21 the traditional competition of handcrafted kites, with cane, tissue paper and string.
Registration and the respective regulations are available at the secretary of the Parish Council or through the website of this local authority.
Winners will be awarded monetary prizes ranging from 3rd to 1st place. The jury assigned to the contest will have the task of evaluating the kites in two categories, “flight time” and “creativity”.
The participating kites will be on display from June 19 to 21 in the cultural activities room of the junta.
