Municipal Civil Protection Service is in a state of readiness. Today, the Municipality carried out a new awareness campaign with local commerce.
Due to the growth of cases of local transmission of COVID-19 in the Municipality, the Municipality of Câmara de Lobos today raised the level of municipal alert. It went from the green level (the lowest / up to 10 cases of infection) to the blue level (11 to 25 cases / the second most severe of a scale of five) according to the criteria defined in the Municipality’s Contingency Plan.
“We have witnessed, in the last few days, a growth in cases of local transmission of COVID-19 in the Municipality of Câmara de Lobos.
“It is expected that the number of cases will increase in the coming days. Câmara de Lobos is no different from the other municipalities, the virus knows no administrative boundaries ”, he justifies. And he adds: “We are a municipality where the urban centrality is quite striking, combined with a high population density, so it is extremely important that everyone abides by the rules so that there is no more contagion chains”.
The Municipality of Câmara de Lobos, through the Municipal Civil Protection Service, is working to minimize the risk of contagion within the municipality, but prevention goes above all to each one of us. In this sense, it reinforces the appeal to the population to Observe with special rigor the preventive measures in force to reduce the exposure and transmission of the disease.
