Several brigades of the Regional Authority for Economic Activities (ARAE), accompanied by agents of the PSP, are monitoring various locations in the municipality of Machico.
In the first approach, inspectors call attention to individual protection measures, such as wearing a mask and social distance. Then, the capacity allowed in commercial spaces. For now, the action is aimed at raising awareness, but in case of rules being broken the respective fine will be imposed. Residents are following the PSP and ARAE agents’ instructions. The entire operation was prepared at Machico’s PSP station, from where a brigade from the two authorities left for Caniçal for another inspection operation.
