“Natal na Praça”, one of the most popular events promoted by the Markets Division of the Funchal City Council, returns to Praça do Peixe, at Mercado dos Lavradores.
The 6th edition of this show will bring together, over the first three Sundays of December, several entrepreneurs, brands and regional sellers at Praça do Peixe at Mercado dos Lavradores.
The event kicks off next Sunday, December 6, and is repeated on the following two Sundays, December 13 and 20, always from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, and this year will be marked by strong security measures, adapted to the pandemic situation that is being experienced at this time.
In this sense, the use of a mask, as well as the disinfection of hands, will be mandatory at the entrance to Mercado dos Lavradores.
The entrance to the event will be through the door of Rua Brigadeiro Oudinot and the exit through the door of Rua da Boa Viagem.
Both doors will be controlled by security guards, in order to ensure that all people comply with the rules in force and that there are no gatherings. Inside the building there will also be a security guard who will be responsible for complying with the above rules.
The various Christmas themed fairs at Praça do Peixe at Mercado dos Lavradores will thus again take advantage of the season to boost the market in commercial terms, giving visibility to various brands and small regional entrepreneurs, and multiplying the offer to the population.
On the inaugural day, on December 6th, the party starts with a «Decoration, Accessories and Fashion» fair. The 13th of December will, in turn, be constituted by the presentation of «Delicias do Natal Madeirense». Finally, on the last Sunday of the event, on the 20th, several local exhibitions will coexist in Praça do Peixe, from the «Theme Fairs» that the Mercado dos Lavradores organizes weekly throughout the year, namely with handicrafts, carob, old and gastronomy.
