GOVERNMENT WILL SPEND 16.9 MILLION TO REHABILITATE REGIONAL ROAD NETWORK

The Regional Government today authorized the expenses inherent to the works of requalification of the regional road network for the central zone (4.7 million euros), the east zone (6.4 million euros) and for the west zone (5, 8 million euros) from Madeira, with an overall value of 16.9 million euros.

According to the conclusions sent to the media, the Madeiran Executive explains that the works in question are covered by the Sustainable Urban Mobility Action Plan (PAMUS), which “establishes the medium and long term strategy for the development of infrastructures and transport in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, aiming at improving accessibility and tourist mobility throughout the territory and providing more sustainable mobility and transport to residents and visitors, as well as the creation of thematic routes, using the oldest regional roads, which allow access to points of enjoyment of the landscape and tourist areas “.
