During today, civil protection professionals identified as priorities under the Regional Vaccination Plan COVID-19 were vaccinated against COVID-19.
In total there were one hundred firefighters assigned to the different Fire Departments and the Portuguese Red Cross responsible for transporting suspects and patients with COVID-19.
According to the Regional Secretariat for Health and Civil Protection, the regional vaccination plan against COVID-19, to date, has already ensured the vaccination of more than 4400 people, mostly health professionals from the RAM Health Service and users and employees of homes in the Region.
Within the scope of the priorities defined for vaccination, 152 health professionals assigned to health units in the private sector were also covered, namely professionals who work daily in Urgent Care Services and other differentiated services in the private sector.
