IPMA has just updated the weather warnings for tomorrow, raising the risk of extreme rain.
The IPMA has just raised the red warning – extreme risk – the ‘alert’ for persistent and heavy rain, sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms, in the mountainous regions and on the south coast of Madeira, scheduled for tomorrow.
The red warning for mountainous regions is in effect between 11 am and 5 pm, while for the south coast, it is valid between 12 pm and 3 pm.
With this update, the orange warning for precipitation will take effect from 9 am to 11 am in mountainous regions, and from 9 am to 12 pm on the south coast of Madeira. The remaining warnings (yellow) for precipitation and wind, remain valid for the periods already provided.
