Today Madeira has 66 new cases of covid-19 and 59 recovered, according to the Regional Health Directorate.
As for new cases of infection, all are locally transmitted, most of them already associated with positive case contacts.
Thus, the Region now accounts for 6,746 confirmed cases of infection with the new coronavirus, of which 1,552 are active.
Regarding the isolation of active cases, 46 people are hospitalized at Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça (42 people in Multipurpose Units and 4 in the Intensive Care Unit dedicated to covid-19) and 24 people are isolated in a dedicated hotel unit, remaining the rest in their own accommodation.
