Third batch of vaccines has already arrived at Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital

The 5,850 doses of the Pfizer vaccine that make up the third batch delivered to Madeira were transported to the Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital pharmacy, under strong security measures, after being kept in boxes, since last night at Madeira Airport, in boxes with thermal insulation .

The transport was carried out at 9:30 am on Monday, under strong security measures, with police escort during the route and with armed agents, positioned at the entrances of the hospital unit.

The new shipment arrived the night before yesterday in the archipelago, aboard a plane of the Portuguese Air Transport Company (TAP) from Lisbon, after on December 30 and February 1, the aircraft of the same company transported the first shipments of vaccines to Madeira .
