ARM LAUNCHES VIDEO ON THE VALUE OF WATER IN MADEIRA, WITH THE NOMAD JACKSON GROVES

WATER is life. From nature to you… ”. This is the motto of the video, made by Australian nomadic Jackson Groves, who wants to raise awareness of the importance and value of water in Madeira. This is one of the initiatives of Águas e Residuos da Madeira (ARM) to mark World Water Day, which is celebrated today, March 22nd.

“Water is a valuable asset across the planet Earth. In Madeira it is an extremely important resource, born in the immaculate nature in the north of the island and is transported to the south, through the historic levadas. Today, March 22nd, on World Water Day, we honor this essential resource for life and those who, daily, work to bring it from nature to our homes. It is a long and laborious journey that must be valued and respected. ”

It is in this way that the aforementioned video is published on the social networks of Jackson Groves, an Australian nomad who has traveled the world for about 5 years and who has promoted Madeira among his more than 490 thousand followers, only on his Instagram account.

The video is dedicated to the water cycle in Madeira, to the value of the water resource, but also to all those who work daily so that the water reaches our homes.

ARM thus aims to raise awareness of the importance of preserving this essential asset for life, which is scarce and must be used efficiently in all activities of our daily lives.
