At the airport, when questioned by Correio da Manhã, the former Funchal mayor refused to make any statement, saying only: “I only speak about Madeira with Madeirans”.
“I’ll talk when I get there”, he added, with a smile on his face.
Even so, the former governor of Funchal said he was happy with the investigating judge’s decision, announced last Wednesday.
“I’m naturally satisfied, because I’m returning in a very different way than when I came to the continent,” he said.
Regarding the Public Ministry’s appeal, Pedro Calado simply responded that “each one is doing their job”.
He further assured that he will clarify “everything that needs to be clarified”.
