Electricity is restored in Madeira in some parts of the Region after a lightning strike hit the transport line between Calheta and Funchal at 8:40 pm on Saturday and caused several damage to the system at the Vitória Thermal Power Station, which went down.
Technicians from the Madeira Electricity Company (EEM) were repairing the damage and started the entire system after more than two hours of work. The switch on was done in a phased manner.
