Ultra Skyrunning Madeira postponed to October

International skyrunning event was scheduled for the month of May.

The Ultra Skyrunning Madeira (USM) of 2021 was scheduled for the 28th, 29th and 30th of May, but the organisation announced yesterday its postponement to the month of October, namely on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

“The USM organization decided to postpone the event, due to the recent recommendations made by the regional authorities. As a result, the 2021 edition will be held on the weekend of the 1st to the 2nd of October”, it can be read in the news published by the organization on your facebook and instagram pages.

“Registered athletes will be informed by email. In the coming days the organisation will provide more information.

We apologise for the changes, but we want to follow all the recommendations and guarantee the safety of athletes, volunteers and the population “.

Integrating the world skyrunning circuit (ISF Skyrunner® World Series – International Skyrunning Federation) and with the objective of covering the largest number of practitioners, the 2021 edition consists of four events from different distances:

– Madeira Sky Race (MSR 55.6 km 4121 m D +);

– Santana Vertical Kilometer (SVK 4.8Km 1003 m D +);

– Santana Sky Race (SSR 21 km 1672m D +);

– Furão Sky Race (FSR 10km 617m D +);

– Kids Santana Sky Race.
