Now that Madeira is easier to get to, it makes for a great family vacation

I personally don’t think Madeira will be a family holiday destination, for a certain kind of family, who like nature, walking, sports, but if you are looking for sandy beaches and kids clubs forget it.

  1. THIS IS MY HOME CONTRY , BUT I IMIGRATE TO THE UK IN 1977 , I RETURNED A FEW TIMES HERE BUT NOT LIVED THERE , THE LASTE TIME I WAS IN MADEIRA WAS 2011.
    NOW I AM RETURNING FOR GOOD FOR THE COUNTRY I REALY LOVE , PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT IS MY CHANCES OF GET TO USE TO LIVE THERE.

  2. It is a very nice Island, BUT they need to improve the airport in some way as winds very often make landing and take-off impossible so many flights are delayed, diverted or cancelled. A nightmare !
    Maybe extend it in to the sea to take the runway away from the hillside because the wind, which causes vortices that make landing difficult. I believe that any wind in excess of only 30kph is considered a major problem.
    2022 has been an horrendous year already

  3. If you want a peaceful holiday Madeira is the place, however it is being spoiled by ‘all-inclusive’ resorts which are spoiling it for the local businesses we all like to use. We have a time-share and come every year for the relaxation but our resort are doing all-inclusive now and I think a lot of time-share people are not liking the change and I am one
