A fire broke out yesterday evening, around 7:30 pm, in the parish of Prazeres and at this time it is progressing towards Estreito da Calheta.
The fire is being fought by volunteer firefighters from Calheta and there are people helping, although there are no houses in danger yet, and it is certain that if it stays the course there will be no major problems.
It is suspected that the fire was caused by a rocket or caused by arson.
The president of Junta dos Prazeres, Paulo Ferreira, on his Facebook, once again regrets the unrest in the parish.
