IVBAM promotes Madeira Embroidery on the streets and on the Internet

From the 11th of December until the 2nd of January, the Madeira Wine, Embroidery and Crafts Institute (IVBAM), “will promote Madeira Embroidery, in a set of actions that relate this product, which is so iconic to Madeiran culture, with the Christmas season”, with street actions and digital action.

“In fact, during this period, and on an almost daily basis, Madeira Embroidery is being promoted by promoters, elegantly dressed in a Christmas outfit, adorned with Madeira Embroidery, who are present on the streets of Funchal, on a route that involves Avenida Arriaga and the Mercado dos Lavradores. Along the route, tourists and locals have the opportunity to take a photo next to them and the frame alluding to Madeira Embroidery that accompanies them, sharing their photos on social media”, explains IVBAM.

Furthermore, “accompanying this action, a giveaway will be taking place on Bordado Madeira’s social networks (Facebook and Instagram – @bordadomadeiraembroidery), managed by IVBAM, which translates into the offer of an elegant cloth bag, adorned with Madeira Embroidery “, he announces.

Therefore, “to qualify for this prize, participants must meet some requirements, namely, publish a photo with the promoters and the frame, and collect the highest number of likes. The giveaway will be in effect between 16 (next Saturday) to 20 December (next Wednesday), with the winners announced on the 21st of this month on the pages where the competition takes place”, he highlights.

IVBAM says that with these actions, “it aims to meet tourists and locals, generating dynamics and interaction, physically and online, between the Bordado Madeira product/brand and the different audiences that follow it”. And he concludes: “It should be noted that Madeira Embroidery is a product that relates to Madeiran tradition and culture, particularly during the Christmas season, and that with this type of actions, IVBAM aims, in addition to safeguarding this art that so identifies the Autonomous Region of Madeira, also promote Madeira Embroidery as a suggestion for a prominent gift for this Christmas, an offer with added value.”
