Known for its heavy, long and strong waves, Madeira is known as the Hawaii of the Atlantic, being surrounded by crystal blue waters and covered by rich subtropical vegetation. However, what sets Madeira apart is the absence of large crowds, the wine culture, the rock-filled beaches and the typical food.
On this trip, Nic Von Rupp managed the biggest and best aligned swell in recent years. It was an incomparable day at Jardim do Mar, the best big wave pointbreak in the world.
