The first judicial interrogation of the three defendants detained as part of the alleged corruption case in Madeira has not yet begun.
The questions and answers were scheduled to start at 10:30 am, but so far (midday) they have not yet started.
The criminal investigation judge a few moments ago began reading the facts for which the defendants are indicted by the Public Prosecutor’s Office. Given that the Court’s lunch hour is at 12:30 pm, the interrogation itself should only continue in the afternoon.
I believe there is strike action within the courts as well today, and everything will stop by 5.30, so l doubt very much if Calado will be heard today.
