Today Madeira has 53 more new cases of covid-19 detected, all of which are locally transmitted, the Regional Health Directorate said this evening.
The Autonomous Region “now accounts for 6,799 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the regional territory, and of the 53 new cases,” the majority “were already associated with positive case contacts, which leads to” epidemiological investigations “continuing.
It should be noted that “today there are 93 more recovered cases to report”, assures the health authority, with the “Region now accounting for 5,225 recovered cases of COVID-19”. In other words, there are still 1,511 active cases, “of which 30 are imported cases and 1,481 are of local transmission”.
